Starkville, MS, April 11, 2005, Synergetics DCS, Inc. announces three programs designed to assist Mississippi School Districts to improve academic achievement while incorporating technology.

Synergetics designed each of the following programs to meet the Mississippi Department of Education's goals to have every teacher within a public school district to be able to effectively integrate technology into the classroom for the instructional benefit of all students by 2008. 

Improving Academic Achievement through Technology Courses – Four separate courses targeting Reading, Language Arts, Science, and Mathematics addressing such issues as curriculum standards, classroom organization of technology resources, alternative delivery models, pedagogical strategies, performance tasks, learning activities, real-life roles and assessments of student work is modeled.

No Teacher Left Behind Technology Assessments – Pre-assessments, Customized Report with recommended professional development for teachers, followed by a post-assessment to provide statistical data showing teachers ability to use and incorporate technology into the classroom. Program is modeled around specific “must have” technology skills identified by the Mississippi Department of Education for teachers and administrators.

Curriculum and Instruction Mentoring Program – One on one mentoring program with a certified teacher to assist a district's efforts to improve student achievement through improved teacher effectiveness.  Mentors target specific instructional strategies and model proven teaching methods through on-going training. 

Synergetics' Professional Development Programs are taught by Mississippi certified teachers.  Continuing education units and SEMI credits are available for full-day courses.
